Gifts (Shadorma, Elfje, Tilus)

photo-2

Handmade gifts
a token of love
Beads, paper,
stars, glitter
The contagious smell of glue
my nose can still smell.

The
receiving end,
I loved the
smile on their faces
Beautiful.

These gifts said simply what
I could not:
Thanks

Drinks Away (Shadorma and Elfje)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Drinks away
Drinks to forget them
oblivious
of near future
when the world will turn hazy
and vision, blurry

In the bar
drinking away life
merriment
of the hour
soon the world starts spinning round
deluded from life.

Wait
for tomorrow
hungover from yesterday
when he finally feels
regret.

STAIRS OF LIFE (Shadorma)

Bastet's Shadorma Photo Prompt

Bastet’s Shadorma Photo Prompt

Stairs may take
anywhere you want
ascending
descending
all that matters is to where
do you want to go.

Do you want
reaching topmost point
to heaven
paradise
tasting victory above
looking down at them.

Or do you
want purgatory
straight to hell
sinking low
trying getting up, only
tasting the bottom.

Stairs of life
they only go up
you decide
what you seek
there might be paradise’ light
or grim hell, darkness.

THE BOOKSTORE (Shadorma & Elfje)

A bookstore
daughter shakes mum’s hand
“Look mama
Peter Pan”
So, they open the doors of
the great hall of books

Elation
enjoyable tranquility
sudden unique atmosphere
So many books to
explore

The daughter
opening the book
a little
taking in
intoxicating smell of
her enthralling book.

RAY OF HOPE (Shadorma and Elfje)

Labyrinth
is disillusioned
by darkness,
treachery,
phobia of night that bring
repressed emotions.

Beyind
this labyrinth
ray of hope
sunshine makes you feel
invincible

The maze ends
with enlightenment
cherished glow
Don’t be scared
this night soon ends bringing you
the glorious sun.

SHADORMA #5

Bastet's Shadorma Prompt

Bastet’s Shadorma Prompt

1.
My childhood
spent in the villa
the monsoon
drip drop rain
as it fell over the arch
aiming for the sea

2.
The lamppost
glowing in the dark
bright at night
calmly taught
lesson in perseverance
with light in the night

3.
An earthquake
that ruined everything
old villa
now remains
crooked arch and the lamppost
glowing like ever

4.
My window
lamppost stands like a
sentinel
forever
alone guiding through the night
master of the dark.

PHOTO CHALLENGE #3 “HIDDEN DOOR” by mindlovemiserysmenagerie

SHADORMA #3

1.

grapes hanging
vixen in corner
trying hard
no success
turns them away so bluntly
have the grapes turned sour?

2.

The Pisces
penchant for the land
fights with waves
struggles hard
comes to surface for grapes
dies, key still hanging.

3.

Man comes
controls everything
holds the key
hid beneath
opens the concealed door, but finds
only a dead end.
