FOG

Water precipitated
in thin air
clearly visible
and
the world beyond
invisible.
Blinding the eye
a challenge to drive
can’t breathe
can’t survive
Shielded by a sheet
as fog wraps in
obscurity fills in.
A fall pretense
claiming
to be the end
only a kink.

The two in the bus
scribbling hearts
kids playing
knots & crosses
on the window
opaque with mist.

As it leaves
the water, drops
a clearer picture
the world outside glows
Like a curtain raised
for a great show.
